James spent 3 years as a full time carer for his mother who has dementia and he was disillusioned with the way that traditional companies provided service and how high fee structures were needed to support their high overheads.
As a result, he saw an opportunity to provide a better value proposition for clients as well as being able to give carers more options.
Jim's Home Care was founded to provide a holistic approach to the needs of the client/carer relationship.
In previous roles James has a broad range of experience which includes consulting, creating and implementing Quality Management Systems, ISO9000 certification, energy efficiency, business startups, managing and training staff, budget management and business efficiency, but always with the primary objective of improving the customer's experience.
Amjad has over 20 years experience in heavily regulated industries, including solar power generation, energy efficiency as well as in the education sector establishing training organisations.
Amjad is also a qualified trainer who has developed IT and auditing skills to ensure compliance of his businesses in a very strict regulatory environment within the education and energy efficiency sectors. He has successfully used his customer service skills and passion to help people achieve their individual goals.
With a Certificate IV in Ageing Support, it was an obvious and natural choice for Amjad to become one of the founders of Jim's Home Care, enabling him to contribute to the well being of the senior members of our community, who deserve the very best support that we can provide.
With a degree and post-graduate qualifications in health, Aloysius has over 10 years of experience in the Home and Community Care Sector, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in the development and running of in-home aged care services.
Having previously led numerous medium and large scale home care organisations, Aloysius has a keen interest and passion in delivery of customer-centric consumer directed care in the most cost effective manner possible. A passionate advocate for customer experience and customer service, Aloysius believes in service provisioning that is focussed on what matters most to each individual.
With a degree and post-graduate in physiotherapy, Meg McNena has more than 40 years of varied physiotherapy and community education experience.
This includes: complex needs outreach and post-acute care in the Hospital Admission Risk Program, Aged Care Shared Care, domiciliary, and for 17 years till 2016 as the Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) physio for Melbourne's West, where home assessment of independence, mobility, cognition and safety informed level of care, referrals and stakeholder liaison. She also worked in Geriatric Evaluation & Management (GEM) and rehabilitation of in and outpatients at Bundoora Extended Care, Footscray Society for the Aged and overseas.
She has mentored students and juniors, written/presented health talks, lead teams and advocated for the vulnerable - with empathy and gladness, all in a rewarding day's work!
